The NGI Sargasso Open Call, expiring on July 31st, 2023, is a platform for innovation in the Next Generation Internet (NGI) domain. We are assembling a team of talented individuals and organizations to join us in a proposal for the development of a web application that proves its ethical sustainability.

Our project, PESA (Prove the Ethical Sustainability of a web Application), aims to address concerns surrounding the ethical sustainability of AI-powered web applications. Leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), these applications respond to predefined requirements in an automated way. However, their ethical implications often hinder their public acceptance and utilization.

PESA aims to test the sustainability of one such application specifically designed to identify potential candidates for research and innovation endeavors. By validating its ethical sustainability, we seek to pave the way for responsible and effective utilization.

Within the NGI Sargasso Open Challenge, PESA focuses on the development of the Next Generation Internet. We firmly believe that AI based on LLMs is the key emerging technology that will play an outstanding role in shaping the future of the internet. It has the potential to offer innovative solutions in areas such as Trust, Data Sovereignty, Interoperability, and Standardization.
